This interesting and evidence-based lecture will examine the multi-factorial approach in the successful assessment and diagnosis of the more common sports injuries of the knee. The detailed discovery of the kinetic chain of events that contribute to knee injury and increased incidence of re-injury in the return to sport. Effective knee rehabilitation protocols, rehabilitation progressions and sports specific considerations will be uncovered.
Dr. Christine Foss has a Masters degree in Sports Medicine from Old Dominion University, a Doctorate in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, Diplomate American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board and an Internationally Certified Sports Chiropractor. She was named the 2020 American Chiropractic Association Sports Council Chiropractor of the Year. Dr. Foss has had many experiences treating and rehabilitating athletes as well as non-athletes. Co-owning and establishing Advanced Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy Center as well as Kid’s Therapy Center has been a passion. Dr Foss is he American Chiropractic Association Sports Council Chiropractor of the Year 2020. She worked in the Sports Medicine Department at the University of Notre Dame as well as volunteering at the Olympic Training Camps multiple times and locations. She has worked the World Games in Poland and the bobsleigh World Championships both for FICS. She additionally traveled with TEAMUSATF as medical staff. She has additionally worked alongside prominent surgeons in the care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
