Description:
This two-hour presentation will help you to answer the concerns your patients, professional colleagues and others may express about the risks of chiropractic neck adjustments. We will review the mechanism of vertebral artery dissection and stroke, and outline the major risk factors and warning signs that you must be able to recognize in your office. We’ll discuss why these strokes seem to be related to—but not necessarily caused by—chiropractic neck treatments. You’ll learn the specific steps to take if a patient seems to have a complication from a neck adjustment, and you will also get detailed tips on how to discuss these perceived risks with concerned patients in a sensitive and sensible way.
This course was recorded September 23, 2023 in Lexington, KY as a part of our 107th KAC Annual Convention and sponsored by NCMIC.
