Description

Common Subluxation Patterns and Adjustments for the Lower Extremities - Dr. Mark Charrette

This 6-hour presentation will begin with the basic neurology of extremity adjusting. This will explain the benefit of primarily utilizing indicators to adjust extremity articulations as opposed to symptomatology. This will be covered by the concept of “The Noisy Joint”. Then, utilizing motion x-rays, and video demonstrations, the adjustments for the typical pronated foot will be taught. These adjustments include the navicular, cuboid, cuneiforms, talus, calcaneous, and fibular head. Next, the indicators, listings and adjustments for the knee will be presented. The wrist extension thrust technique will be covered in great detail so participants will be able to duplicate the results. Following the foot and knee, a targeted rehab exercise will be shown. The final portion of the seminar will consist of the indicator, adjustment and rehab exercise for the typical hip. This course will be presented in a workshop/hands-on deliberate practice format utilizing multiple repetitions.

You’ll leave with effective adjustments you can “use on Monday morning” that will increase the positive outcomes with your patients.

Radiology for the Non-Radiologists Part 2 - Dr. Beverly Harger

Emphasis will be on knowing clinical indicators and imaging guidelines, ordering a radiographic study consistent with clinical suspicion, choosing the most appropriate imaging modality, improving interpretation skills, and developing an effective teamwork in the diagnostic process. The clinician will develop an approach to interpreting skeletal radiographs to maintain his/her radiologic skills. This course is expected to result in improved competence in making appropriate diagnosis with the overall goal of improving patient outcomes.
