01.2024 KAC Webinar Series | Shoulder Impingement Syndrome


This course will be available for purchase starting January 1, 2024.

This course was applied for continuing education credit from January 1, 2024 - January 1, 2025, for the state of Kentucky.

All components (video, quiz, affidavit, participation codes, evaluation, etc.) must be completed between January 1, 2024 - January 1, 2025 to count for continuing education credit in Kentucky.


Course Description 

This practical workshop outlines everything you need to know about successfully treating anterior shoulder impingement. This workshop will take you through the latest best practices for evaluation, treatment, and home rehab. You'll learn how to approach each case confidently and leave with a greater understanding of managing the most common problem affecting the shoulder.

 

Course Outline 

  • Identifying functional deficits of the upper extremity, including scapular dyskinesis
  • Learning the signs and symptoms of shoulder impingement syndrome
  • Orthopedic evaluation of the upper extremity
  • Practical management of structural upper extremity pathology, including assessment, treatment, patient education, stretching & low-tech rehab exercises for shoulder impingement syndrome

 

Course Learning Objectives 

  1. Review orthopedic & functional shoulder evaluation
  2. Recognize shoulder dysfunction and understand its role in impingement syndrome.
  3. Review current best practice treatment for scapular dyskinesis and impingement syndrome, including home exercises.

Dr. Steele is currently in private practice at Premier Rehab in the greater St. Louis area. He began his career with a post-graduate residency at The Central Institute for Human Performance. During this unique opportunity, he was able to create and implement rehabilitation programs for members of the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, and Rams. Dr. Steele currently lectures extensively on clinical excellence and evidence-based treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. He serves on the executive board of the Illinois Chiropractic Society. He is a Diplomate and Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (FACO). Brandon is co-founder of the online clinical resource ChiroUp.com.
